ABOUT THE OWNERS


Believe it or not, it all started on an elevator. It began at Johnson & Wales University, back in 2009- Keith and Sara were both at college orientation for culinary school. Sara happened to enter an elevator that Keith was already on. The rest is history, they hit it off! They spent the rest of their college time in Providence, RI together, working to gain industry experience and absorbing all of the knowledge from the chefs in school. After graduation, they moved to Raleigh, NC for a change of pace. They lived there for 2 years, ultimately deciding that Philadelphia would be their next stop. In 2017, the couple got married (with a food truck rodeo wedding!). All the while, The Clean Plate Club was in the back of their mind. This truck and company have been a dream of theirs since the beginning and they couldn’t be more excited to finally make it a reality!

ABOUT THE FOOD

 

The way we go about cooking is simple- we believe in buying fresh, local products whenever possible. Both Keith and Sara are culinary school graduates and believe in classic techniques. That being said, don’t be surprised to see a smoking gun or some molecular gastronomy techniques either. We like to have fun too! It is our goal to make meals that keep you coming back for more & cleaning your plate!

AT THE CLEAN PLATE CLUB, WE WANT TO COOK WHAT YOU WANT TO EAT. OUR MENUS ARE CURATED DAILY- FOCUSING ON SEASONAL, LOCAL PRODUCTS AND ALWAYS TAKING OUR LOCATION INTO CONSIDERATION. OUR BACKGROUND IN THE CULINARY WORLD ALLOWS US TO OFFER A HUGE VARIETY OF OPTIONS ALL WHILE HIGHLIGHTING BEAUTIFUL INGREDIENTS-WHETHER THAT IS A LOCAL BEER, FRESH MUSHROOMS, OR HAM FROM THE FARMSTAND NEXT TO US.
